Many people will avoid regular dental visits out of certain phobias regarding procedures that may need to take place during a check-up. In truth, most regular trips to the dentist are simple cleanings and an overall physical for oral health. While this knowledge can somewhat allay the fears that patients may harbor regarding the dentist’s office, there are times when cavities are uncovered and more involved techniques to restore oral health are required.
Perhaps the one procedure that we have found most of our patients to be apprehensive about is when a cavity needs to be drilled and filled.
