Though we always advocate for periodic dental visits to check on the oral state of your mouth, there are 3 things you need to do on your own for a better oral hygiene. They may be viewed as basic but these are important daily oral hygiene practices that should never be overlooked.

1. Brush your teeth at least twice every day; however, if you can, brush them after every meal. It is important to brush your teeth before you go to bed and when you wake up. Remember to use the right toothbrush, which has the appropriate kind of bristles. Brush your teeth using a circular motion. Avoiding pressing hard on your teeth when brushing so as not to damage your teeth or the gum line. Do remember to replace your toothbrush after two or three months.
