Payment Options For Dental Services

The primary concern of most dental patients today is affordability and whether or not they have the financial means to pay for the many services and treatments that we provide here at Stony Brook Family and Laser Dentistry. Although we do try to maintain the most affordable fees for our many dental services and cash is one payment option we gladly accept, most individuals do not have the money to pay for even the simplest of services. Fortunately, we offer three other payment options for anyone who cannot or prefers not to pay with cash.

CareCredit – this is a healthcare credit card that was designed to help individuals pay for their health and wellness needs or treatments. It provides families and individuals with a way to pay for the procedures and/or treatments that are needed or required (in this case, the dental services offered at Stony Brook Family and Laser Dentistry). Naturally, as a credit card, it will require approval. However, there are a number of advantages to using this healthcare credit card including:

• Convenience – as a line of credit, it can be used again and again
• Flexibility – you have the option of paying off the balance or paying on a monthly basis and you have a choice of dentists, healthcare providers, and physicians to choose from
• Helpful – you can fit your monthly payments into your budget thanks to the special financing options that are currently available
• Simplicity and straightforwardness – now you can pay for certain procedures and treatments whenever you need or want them

Credit card – we gladly accept American Express, MasterCard, and VISA for payment of services. For many individuals, this is the most convenient of the 4 payment options that we accept, although it is not always the most popular.

Dental insurance – there are literally dozens of dental insurance plans available on the market today and there are several that we accept including:

• Cigna PPO
• Delta Dental
• Empire Blue Cross
• Fitzharris
• Guardian
• JJ Newman
• MetLife
• SeleDent
• United Healthcare

If you are covered by any of these, be sure that you talk to a company representative about the coverage you have and the amounts you are qualified for.
